How to setup Google Authentication/2FA

What is Google Authentication?


 
A mobile security application that implements 2-step verification process using a one-time password algorithm based on time that helps verify user identities before granting them access to websites and services.

For account security, make sure you enable two factor authentication (2FA) after your first login. (Google 2FA).

How to Enable Google 2FA?



Log in to your DACX account. Click “Account” on top right corner. Click on “Security” and enable 2FA after you set up your Google Authenticator app on your mobile in the next step.







Installing Google Authenticator App on your phone!
Download and install the Google Authenticator in App Store (for iOS) or Google Play (for Android).





Set up Google Authenticator with your DACX Exchange Account

  1. Open your Google Authenticator app, click the symbol【+】on the top-right for IOS and bottom-right【+】 for Android to scan the QR Code shown (Account -> Security) or manually enter the secret key. 
  2. Once that’s set up, DACX should appear on the app with a 6 digit code.


Save the Backup key
Make sure you save the Secret Key, which will be used to recover your account just in case you no longer have access to your previous Google Authenticator.



Enable Google Authentication on your DACX Exchange Account
  1. Coming back to the DACX page, you will need to fill in your login username, password and Google Authentication code. 
  2. Go to Account > Security and click enable once you enter the 6 digit code from your Google Authenticator app on your mobile.
